ICP HISTORY

Organized in 1974, the Integrated Chemists of the Philippines (ICP) is the official organization of chemists in matters related to the professional practice of chemistry, legal aspects, chemistry laboratory accreditation, board examinations, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and Continuing Professional Education (CPE). The ICP is the Accredited Professional Organization (APO) of licensed chemists recognized by the Professional Regulation Commission. All chemists who pass the chemistry licensure examinations qualify for full membership in the ICP.

The ICP is a nation-wide society with the following chapters: National (National Capital Region), Cebu, Panay, Negros, and Regions X/XII.

The ICP is a founding member of the Philippine Federation of Chemical Societies (PFCS), together with the Kapisanang Kimika sa Pilipinas (KKP), the Organic Chemistry Teachers Association (OCTA), the Philippine Association of Chemistry Teachers (PACT), and the Philippine Association of Chemistry Students (PACS). The ICP is also a founding member of the Federation of Asian Chemical Societies, and is the country representative to the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC).
