About the Event
The COVID-19 pandemic has driven the public to be much more hygienic than usual. The usage of personal cleaning products, soap in particular, has been put into spotlight in these trying times. Soap is offered as a cheap yet effective way in making sure that each one of us is protected. But what is the chemistry behind how soap acts on harmful particles? Can it be easily made? What are the ways to earn profit from this pandemic by selling soap?
The Integrated Chemists of the Philippines (ICP) invites active ICP members to attend the FREE webinar "Soap-Making and Formulation: The Chemist Way", to be held on November 6 (Friday), 9AM to 12PM, and will be livestreamed via Cisco Webex.
This webinar will be facilitated by Mr Shalom Rodriguez, registered chemist and proprietor of Magayon Organics. Mr Rodriguez will discuss the effectiveness of soap as a disinfectant, how to formulate soap, and will lightly touch on the business of soap-making.
Continuing Professonal Development (CPD)
This event is expected to be granted three (3) CPD credit units by the CPD Council of Chemistry.
Who Should Attend?
Individuals with a keen interest in knowing the science and chemistry of how soap is effective as a cleaning agent, those who wish to learn how to make soap, and those who wish to start a soap-making business are highly encouraged to attend.
