Job Responsibilities:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Executes specific method verification and validation and gathers data for documentation
• Responsible in the research test method verification and validation procedures
• Develops and validates in-house methods of analysis or modified methods to analyze complex matrices or to validate -methods for which there are no applicable standard procedures
• Implements and performs Instrument Qualification (IQ), Operation Qualification (OQ) and Performance Qualification (PQ) validations, stability studies, methods validations and method verification
• Responsible in the identification, documentation and control of nonconforming works including technical and administrative nonconformance related to testing (i.e. equipment breakdown, customer complaints, and the like)

Minimum Required Skills:

• Knowledge of safe laboratory practices, including the proper procedures in handling chemicals and unknown environmental samples.
• Strong oral/written communication and organizational skills.

Job Qualifications:

• Registered Chemist
• Minimum of 0 to 1 year of related laboratory experience
• Must be amenable to travel and work in Las Pinas (at your own expense)
• Must be willing to work Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (plus Overtime)
• Must be willing to learn Basic Statics, Control Charts, Measurement Uncertainty, and Method Validation. (Laboratory -Documentation Works, aside from Analysis)
• Can WORK under PRESSURE (in a fast-paced environment)
• Full-Time position available

Job Title: Chemist

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs detailed preparation and analysis of ore, rice and water samples according to published methods and laboratory procedures
• Generates results from raw data, performing primary review against method criteria
• Enters results in the trackers provided for the different matrices offered by the laboratory
• Conducts quality control check and participates in assigned proficiency testing schemes
• Authorize the use of equipment/machines in the laboratory
• Can perform second level review for all test reports in different matrices
• Provide technical guidance to analysts in resolving analytical or instrument-related problems encountered during sample preparation and/or analysis.
• Ensure preventive maintenance is performed on the instruments in responsibility
• Monitor the validity of the analyses performed and data generated in the laboratory to assure reliable data.
• Trains new hires which include instruction on calculations, instrumentation management to include troubleshooting and preventive maintenance

Job Qualifications:

• Degree level qualification in Metallurgy, Analytical Chemistry or related discipline is preferred.
• Must be a Licensed Chemist
• Fluent verbal and written English
• Preferably with at least 1-year experience in laboratory setup
• With background and training on ISO 17025:2017
• Preferably with background in ISO 9001
