Job Title: Junior Chemist

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs physiochemical analysis of raw materials and finished goods using classical analysis methods and instrumental methods. The results of these analyses are documented and reported to the interested parties who needs or requires the analysis data.
  • Performs basic, advanced and/or reverse engineering analysis of various materials related to a product development project. The analysis data serves as a guide in the product research and development effort to expedite and facilitate the time-to-completion of said product R&D.
  • Renders technical service to clients in coordination or cooperation with the Sales and R&D Team
  • Keeps and maintains assigned laboratory work area in good order, observing 5S and observing recommended laboratory safety procedures.
  • Familiarity and Hands on knowledge on Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC), Particle size analysis and other instrumental methods of analysis highly preferred
  • Must be in good physical condition; No allergies to chemicals.
  • Work is normally performed in a typical chemical laboratory work environment. Requires occasional fieldwork or networking with various professional & industry associations; Requires occasional travel to out of town offices or branches
  • Can start asap and willing to assigned in Pasig

Job Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s/College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Chemistry or equivalent.

Qualified Licensed Chemists may apply for Professional License as Food Technologists

In June 2022, the licensing of food technology professionals through the Registration without Examination scheme was opened by the Professional Regulation Commission by virtue of RA 11052 “Food Technology Act” and its IRR. This registration is offered to professionals who are graduates of BS Food Technology and selected allied courses including BS Chemistry, and will be implemented until June 2024.

In recognition of the Filipino Chemists who have been valuable contributors in the food sector, the Philippine Association of Food Technologists, Inc. (PAFT), the accredited professional organization for Food Technology, is pleased to invite all qualified ICP members to apply for their professional license as food technologists. Job Title: Laboratory Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducts physical and chemical analyses of assigned petroleum oil samples (incoming raw materials, in-process products, semi-finished products, finished products and other samples as necessary) in accordance to the standards of ASTM.
  • Set up test equipment in the laboratory to complete specific procedures.
  • Diligently logs and analyzes the data revealed by laboratory tests.
  • Performs preparation of assigned reagents and test solutions as well as standardization of volumetric solutions.
  • Ensures systematic workflow by proper timing of assigned laboratory tests in order of priority. Ensures timely delivery of test results.
  • Performs analysis, evaluation and/or assessment of results before, during and after tests.
  • Prepares Laboratory Test Reports of Certificates of Analysis.
  • Maintains complete and updated record of all assigned test results and necessary documents.
  • Retains and monitors all assigned samples tested according to the designated retention frequency.
  • Responsible for the proper usage, monitoring, cleanliness and proper storage of all assigned laboratory reagents, instruments and equipment.
  • Performs inventory and ensures adequate amount of assigned laboratory supplies. Submits request for stock replenishment to Senior Laboratory Analyst in order to ensure timely delivery and to avoid delay in test performance.
  • Monitors calibration, preventive and corrective maintenance of all assigned laboratory instrument and equipment. Monitors all erroneous outcomes and reports them immediately.
  • Maintains designated workplace in accordance to standards for housekeeping, health, safety, security and environmental protection.
  • Participates in ISO related tasks for the laboratory as may assigned by the Senior Laboratory Analyst.
  • Ensures assigned laboratory records are properly documented and/or controlled.
  • Maintains, confidentiality of all test procedures, test result, product specifications clients and suppliers’ information.
  • Performs other related functions/duties or as the situation dictates.

Job Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Chemistry, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam).
  • With at least two (2) years experience in Laboratory.
  • MUST be a Licensed Chemist.
  • Candidate must be willing to work on a shifting schedule.
  • Candidate must be amenable to work during Saturdays and holidays.
  • Must be residing near/in Valenzuela City.
