Precisione International Research & Diagnostic Laboratory Inc. (PIRD) started its operations in 1951 as Vitarich Feeds Laboratory providing in-house services for Vitarich Corporation. Due to strong demands of our external customers, PIRD separated from Vitarich Corporation in May 2008.
PIRD is one of BAI accredited laboratories in the Philippines. We conform to regulatory standards to preserve the environment and establish harmonious relationships with the community. We also aim to be recognized internationally by different certifying and regulatory bodies.
Technical Process Head
The Technical Process Head is responsible for coming up with and implementing the necessary changes for the department or organization to realign with the right objectives and priorities.
He/she shall be responsible to draft, prepare, edit, check and approve the needed documentation detailing the existing processes; changes recommended, changes implemented, plans and programs and expected outcomes of activities.
The position validates the implemented changes whether or not they are effective and yielding the desired outcomes and recommends workflow adjustments as needed
Oversee adherence to standards, accuracy of lab results, including commitments by ensuring timely issue of results and meeting the requirement of Turn Around Time with accurate analytical results
Oversee the implementation of the quality management systems as applicable to the laboratory and improvement of the quality system. Meet defined quality objectives assigned to him/her.
Assist the Operations Manager to supervise In-charge/Sr. Analyst for equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance and minimum breakdown
Review the Proficiency Test (PT), Inter-laboratory Comparison (ILC) and quality check reports, in case of failure, review the corrective action taken.
Ensure satisfactory investigation and closure of customer complaints & non-conformances within agreed Turn Around Time by checking the appropriateness of root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Identify opportunities for efficiency improvement and cost cutting and lead & implement projects for the same.
Oversee the completion of the ISO accreditation per timeline.
Manage ISO project with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
Develop comprehensive ISO project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from start through implementation.
Monitor ISO project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
Analyze economics of ISO project plans with Department Heads and provide actionable feedback relating to cost benefit and return-on-investment standards.
Review ISO proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes.
Compliance to rules and regulations, quality policy, quality objectives, impartiality statement, confidentiality agreement and safety, health and environmental protocols of the laboratory.
Qualification: Preferably a licensed chemical technician, chemistry microbiologist Education: Graduate of any science related courses with units in Chemistry; Preferably a graduate of BS Chemical Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry and Microbiology Training: Basic training on laboratory management and operations; ISO 17025: 2017 Internal Auditor Training Technical Knowledge: Quality assurance and quality control; Method verification or method validation; Evaluation of measurement uncertainty; Process innovation and value analysis; Laboratory operations and management; Internal audit; PAB Requirements Competency and Skills: Project management; Business process modelling; Business process discovery; Organizational change techniques; Business process management communication Experience: At least five (5) years’ experience as a Technical Process /Quality Assurance Head from a similar or related field. EMPIRE OIL Integrated Manufacturing Corporation was established in March 2016. From a small oil mill with only 6 expellers and a copra crushing capacity of 150 metric tons per day, it has grown to become one of the biggest single-plant oil mills in the Philippines. At maximum capacity, the plant can produce an estimated 500 metric tons of crude coconut oil and 270 metric tons of copra cake per day.
Currently, our CNO is sold in bulk to various refineries and manufacturers in the Philippines. Due to our bigger volume, we are now ready to cater to the international market. With plant upgrades underway, we are targeting to begin the operation of our refinery soon.
Performs required analysis and evaluation of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process and finished products according to sampling plan and as necessary.
Maintains and conducts verification of laboratory and testing equipment at determined frequency or as necessary to ensure consistent process control.
Prepares quality documentation and records including but not limited to Quality Monitoring Reports, Test Reports, Equipment Verification, Certificate of Analysis and Corrective Action Reports. Ensures accuracy of records.
Promotes and monitors the implementation of GMP, SSOP and Food Safety standards to ensure compliance.

Pigmentex Inc. is a chemical-based producing company that provides raw materials for the manufacturing needs of two companies; namely Pacific resins Inc. and RI Chemical Corporation (these are significant, if not major, players in the field of paints, ink and adhesives; among others.
Pigmentex Inc. has its plant in Carmona, Cavite, and has been operating for more than twenty five (25) years now. JOB SUMMARY The position’s primary responsibility is to conduct quality assurance tests and inspection of all raw materials and finished products and ensure that these comply with set quality standards and specifications.
The position holder is also responsible in monitoring the proper use and maintenance of all safety and pollution control facilities in accordance with government standards and requirement.
Review existing safety and pollution control facilities in Pigmentex, Inc., and recommend needed actions to upgrade them.
Assist in the installation of safety and pollution control devices and policies and ensure that these are in accordance with government standards and regulations.
Monitor the proper use and maintenance of all safety and pollution control facilities in accordance with government standards and requirement.
Assist in securing appropriate government licenses for safety and pollution control as well as ensure renewal on time.
Ensure the integrity of raw materials as they are used in the production processes, the batches as they come out of cooking and the finished goods prior to shipment. Assist, analyze, evaluate production cooks especially during trial and first runs of new or modified products.
Evaluate present procedures utilized in the checking of raw materials, work-in progress, and finished goods to determine if they meet acceptable standards.
Analyze and evaluate “To Be Blended”, or “TBB’s” and recommend actions to be taken. Ensure zero-waste in the application of TBBS.
Determine the mechanics of testing present problems of raw material suppliers, production systems and customers. Analyze bottlenecks and recommend new mechanics to ensure that expectations of suppliers, customers and production are met.
Maintain confidentiality of Technical documents such as formulations, production procedures at all times. Reproduction of copies shall only be with the approval of the General Manager.
Review all standard procedures at least once a year and recommend changes as needed.
Must be at least a BS Chemistry graduate.

Confers with the Section Head and Supervising Chemist regarding the procedures and techniques to be followed in conducting tests
Prepares reagents, standard and control solutions needed in the analyses
Logs all reagent preparations done for the traceability of chemicals and standards utilized
Calibrates and operates laboratory equipment and instrument
Checks the parameters to be analyzed and records date and time of analysis
Performs chemical tests and procedures using standard or laboratory-developed methods
Ensures that all test results are documented through the use of log books, laboratory data sheets and printouts and properly endorses to the Chemists and Supervising Chemist for check and review, respectively, when tests are completed
Uploads data obtained from laboratory testing through the LIMS Matrix System
Adheres to quality control and quality assurance protocols to ensure the integrity of test results and safety of the work environment
Monitors stocks and assists in purchasing laboratory supplies and materials
Develops and validates in-house methods of analysis or modified methods to analyze complex matrices or to validate methods for which there are no applicable standard procedures.
Responsible in the research test method verification and validation procedures
Implements and performs Instrument Qualification (IQ), Operation Qualification (OQ) and Performance Qualification (PQ) validations, stability studies, methods validations and method verification
Ensures that the routine and preventive maintenance program, intermediate checks and verification activities are implemented
Initiates the request for revisions and generation of documents based on requirements of standard methods and other sources
Responsible in the identification, documentation and control of nonconforming works including technical and administrative nonconformance related to testing (i.e. equipment breakdown, customer complaints, etc.)
Canvasses and negotiates new laboratory supplies, equipment and chemicals necessary and applicable in the different testing
